It is 2005 and the middle of the school year. Edward and Alice are the only Cullens left in high school and have (almost) successfully integrated into Bella's social circle. The La Push pack is wondering what they should do if the Cullens decide to change Bella into a vampire. In Italy, Aro is on the look out for any reason to visit Forks so he can check up on the Cullens. He needs a plan to bring Alice into his Coven, but he knows she will never leave the Cullens. Victoria is still on the loose and making a coven of newborn vampires.
